Between 27 November 2020 and 1 February 2021, an exhibition of selected snapshots of the research activity of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will be on display at Krakovski nasip along the Ljubljanica River. With the exhibited photographs, the Faculty wants to show the breadth of its activities and present its efforts, especially in the field of environmental issues and economic development. One of the snapshots was also contributed by Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology (TINT) and depicts an interferometric image of EHL contact fluid film formation.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana looks back on a 100-year tradition of modern mechanical engineering, which is reflected in the top-level education of engineers, excellent research achievements and their transfer to the economy. The construction of a new building within the University Center Brdo and its high-tech equipment will contribute significantly to the development of society, especially in the field of low-carbon economy and advanced industry.

Despite the high-tech work of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the exhibition is attractively and comprehensibly designed and will surprise the viewer, from both an aesthetic and scientific point of view. The Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin invited to visit the exhibition with the following words: "We have selected some snapshots from our work, which will show you that the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is one of the leaders of technologically advanced Slovenia and therefore its future will touch you."

The exhibition was made possible by the Ljubljana Tourism Public Institution.
