Short biography
Mark Kuzman was born in 1998 in Ljubljana. He completed his secondary education in 2018 and continued his studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana. He completed his first degree with a thesis titled "Design of automated air leakage detection" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marko Nagode in 2021. He pursued his studies at the master's level, which he completed with a thesis titled "Asperity interactions in the formation of a real contact area" under the supervisor of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin in 2023. In the same year, he was employed as a young researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana in the Laboratory for Tribology and Surface Nanotechnology under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Mitjan Kalin. His research area focuses on the development of an empirical model for calculating real contact area.
