POLYTRIB 2024 conference

The 5th International Conference on Polymer Tribology, PolyTrib 2024 will be held in Portorož, Slovenia on October 3rd and 4th, 2024.
The first 10 years of the PolyTrib (2014–2024) have served as a pivotal gathering point for polymer tribology experts from both academia and industry. The first few conferences were hosted biennially in various locations across Slovenia, but was decided in 2022 to becom an alternating conference between Slovenia and Sweden every two years. Accordingly, the 2022 venue was in Stockholm, Sweden.
Polytrib 2024 will spotlight the latest advancements in polymer tribology research, spanning its broad scope and tailored applications across various industries. Key topics include polymer wear, automotive and gear applications, sustainability in polymer-based materials, energy sector uses, recycling strategies, and the circular economy within tribological components made from polymeric materials. Discussion will also include biobased polymer composites, solid lubricants, 3D printed polymers, polymers in hydrogen technology, and biotribology.
Scheduled for October, PolyTrib 2024 will take place along the scenic Slovenian coast.
