Short biography

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Arshad has received his B.Sc (Hons) Physics degree from Punjab University, Lahore Pakistan session 2004-2008. Then, he continues his Master in applied physics from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden session 2008-2011. After the successful completion of his master degree he started his PhD from Dec 2011 at the Department for Nanostructured Materials, K7, Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia, under supervision of Prof. Spomenka Kobe (Co-supervisor Assist. Prof. Kristina Žužek Rožman). During his PhD, he worked on magnetization reversal and magnetic domain configurations in Co-Pt nanostructures. He finished his PhD on Jan 2016 and then immediately started working as a researcher in Department for Environmental Sciences and Engineering, D05, National institute of Chemistry, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Where he worked on visible light driven TiO2 based photocatalysis until Oct 2017. Since 2018 he is employed as a researcher at the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface nanotechnology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
