Short biography

Dr. Yongqiang Wang (born in 1996) is a researcher from China. He received his B.E. degree in Material Forming and Control Engineering from Qingdao University of Technology in 2019. In the same year, he was recommended for admission to pursue a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Qingdao University of Technology, focusing on the Directional Flow Characteristics of Lubricants in CTG Textures and Their Lubrication Applications. In 2021, he entered the combined master’s and Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering at Qingdao University of Technology, jointly trained at the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (LICP, CAS). He obtained his Ph.D. in 2025 with a dissertation entitled Study on the Construction and Interfacial Lubrication Mechanism of Urea-Functionalized Novel Polymer Gel Lubricants. In 2025, Dr. Wang joined the Laboratory for Tribology and Interface Nanotechnology (TINT), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, as an postdoctoral researcher. His current research interests include the synthesis and preparation of novel lubricating materials, boundary and elastohydrodynamic lubrication mechanisms, and interfacial tribo-chemistry.
